Our blasting facilities are also designed to to process very large parts. We are currently using a mixture of steel grit and shot which produces an approximate 2-3 mil profile on the steel surface being blasted. This provides maximum cleaning ability and a sufficient anchor pattern for most coatings that may be applied.

We also have available a boiler slag blasting media (Black Beauty, Black Diamond, etc.), a more environmentally friendly alternative to silica sand blasting. This media provides a less aggressive blast profile when required.

New for 2004, custom blasting medias such as glass bead, glass cullet, aluminum oxide, plastic bead, and Star Blast™ are now available for use on critical and delicate items.
